Brent R. ‘Fudd’ Leffingwell, age 71, of Brookville passed Wednesday evening, December 4, 2024 at his residence in Brookville.
Born November 19, 1953 in Bradenton, Florida, he was one of seven children born to the late Bill Dick and Alvera ‘Butzie’ (Biltz) Leffingwell. On June 24, 1995 he was united in marriage to the former Ruth Ann Hodapp, and she survives.
Fudd was retired. He was a member of the Bernard Hurst Post #77 Sons of the American Legion. In his leisure time he enjoyed woodworking, watching football and baseball, being with his family and frying chicken for get togethers.
Besides Ruth Ann his wife of nearly 30 years, survivors include two children, Aaron Leffingwell of Brookville, Ashley (Tom Morris) Leffingwell of West Chester, Ohio; two granddaughters, Kadence Leffingwell and Kristin Taylor; two sisters, Lynn Knight and Mickie Sauerland both of Brookville; two brothers, Pat Leffingwell and Brooks Leffingwell both of Brookville; his mother-in-law, Margie Hodapp of Brookville; a brother-in-law, Joseph (Brandy) Hodapp of Brookville, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Hal Leffingwell and Kelly Leffingwell; his father-in-law, James F. Hodapp, and a brother-in-law, James H. Hodapp.
There was a celebration of life at the Bernard Hurst Post #77 of the American Legion on Sunday, December 8, 2024 for family and friends.
