December 10, 2024 at 3:55 p.m.

Gary Shaw, of Brookville, was born on April 23, 1936 in Hamilton, Ohio, the son to Virgil and Della Laudemann Shaw. After graduating from Ross High School, Gary began farming with his uncle.

Gary married Nina Shaw on August 28, 1972 in Jellico, Tennessee and together they raised four daughters, Melanie, Tami, Trisha and Chelsea. Gary farmed for many years, was the proud owner of the Dairy Cottage for 29 years, and was actively involved in the community.

He was a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church and currently attended Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church. He was a board member at Bath State Bank, served on the Franklin County Community School Board, was a member of the Dunlapsville RC Airplace Club, the Masonic Lodge, the Frankin County Antique Machinery Club, and was past president of the NFO.

When not frying chicken, Gary enjoyed roller skating, pulling his John Deere tractors, working on the farm, flying model airplanes, driving his sports cars and spending time with his family.

On Sunday, December 8, he passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones.
