Jeremy “JJ” Reisert

Jeremy Joshua “JJ” Reisert, age 46, of Brookville passed into the arms of his heavenly Father Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Hospice of Cincinnati Hamilton Inpatient Care Center in Hamilton, Ohio.
Born January 3, 1978 in Hamilton, Ohio, he was youngest of six children born to LeRoy Jacob and Patricia Ann (Spivey) Reisert. JJ was a graduate of Connersville High School with the Class of 1999.
JJ had been employed with New Horizons in Batesville and had attended the WATCH Center in Brookville. He enjoyed participating in Special Olympics. He was an avid Cincinnati Bengals football and Cincinnati Reds baseball fan; and enjoyed attending Reds’ games as well as the Reds’ Caravan each year.
In his leisure time he enjoyed traveling, swimming, watching sports and wrestling on television, bowling, putt-putt golf, taking care of his dogs, and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his mother, Patricia Reisert of Brookville; two sisters, Edna Louise (Joseph) Griffin of Hamilton, Ohio and Mary Ann (Jeff) Wehmueller of Fishers; two brothers, Frank LeRoy (Holly Griffin) Reisert of Cleves, Ohio and Fritz Edward (Marsha) Reisert of Brookville; an aunt, Tari (John) Zimmerman of Hamilton, Ohio; his niece and nephews, Katherine E. Bennett, Samuel A. Wehmueller, Jacob D. (Allie Reckers) Reisert and Asher G. Reisert; great niece and nephews, Charlotte, Wyatt, Owen and Will.
He was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy J. Reisert who died September 5, 2009; a sister Lara Kay Reisert who died February 16, 1968; maternal grandparents Fritz and Thelma Spivey; paternal grandparents, Frank and Magdalene Reisert; and his uncle Walter H. Reisert.
Family and friends visited Friday, December 13, 2024; at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville. Attendees wore their favorite Bengals or Reds attire to celebrate JJ’s team spirit!
Rev. Vincent P. Lampert officiated the Catholic Funeral Rite on Saturday, December 14, 2024, 11:00 a.m., at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home. Burial followed in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Brookville, where Frank Reisert, Jacob Reisert, Asher Reisert, Joe Griffin, Jeff Wehmueller, and Garett Shepard served as pallbearers.
