Roger D. Miller

Roger D. Miller, age 72, of Brookville, died Monday, February 12, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Fairfield, Ohio.

Born March 3, 1951 in Connersville, he was one of three children born to the late Raymond H. and Ruby Marie (Farmer) Miller.  On May 3, 1969 he and the former Marilyn Murrell were united in marriage and she survives.

Roger was retired, having worked for over 21 years at the former D & M in Connersville until its closing.  He then worked as a diesel mechanic until his retirement.

He was a member of the Laurel Masonic Lodge #447, F. & A.M.  In his leisure time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap shooting, guns, gardening and the outdoors.  

Besides Marilyn, his loving wife of nearly 55 years, survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Stephanie (Grimes) Miller of Brookville, Jamie and Dede (McQueen) Miller of Sunman; five grandchildren, Justin and Rachel Ratz, Brittnee and Jordan Combs, Tyler Miller, Allyson Miller, Madison (Tommy Winkler) Miller; four great-grandchildren, Reghan, Brooklyn, Braxton and Ava; a sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Greg Holland of Hamilton, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie W. Miller, who died July 8, 1999.

Rev. Rob Edwards officiated the funeral service on Friday, February 16, 2024, 10:00 A.M., at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.  Burial followed in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.  

Family and friends visited on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home in Brookville.
