David Patrick O’Neill

David Patrick O'Neill, age 80, of Brookville, died Saturday, February 24, 2024 at his residence in Brookville following a brief illness.

Born November 29, 1943 in Oakland, California, he was one of three children born to the late Ed and Velma (Smith) O'Neill.  He was united in marriage to the former Elizabeth Carol Jarrell, and she preceded him in death on November 28, 2003.

David was retired, having worked for many years in industrial maintenance, most recently at Delta Faucet.  

In his leisure time he enjoyed HAM radio, and taking care of his pets. 

Survivors include two sons, Tom (Carol) O'Neill of West Harrison and Jack O'Neill of Brookville, six grandchildren, Crystal Marie O'Neill, Jesse Albert O'Neill, Thomas Patrick O'Neill, Jackie Lynn O'Neill, Laura Beth O'Neill, Zachary O'Neill; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Terry O'Neill of Hamilton, Ohio as well as a sister, Jeannie Kilgore of Florida.

Family and friends may visit from 10 until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, with burial following in Springfield Cemetery in Bath.
