Charlene Samberg, age 60, of Anderson, and formerly of Laurel, died Sunday, December 31, 2023 at Copper Trace in Westfield following a lengthy illness.

Born June 27, 1963 in Cincinnati, she was the daughter of the late Roland and Gertie Lee (Propes) Foreman.  

Charlene had worked for over 18 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant.  In her leisure time she enjoyed walking, and spending time with her family.

She had attended Northview Church in Anderson, and had formerly attended First Baptist Church of Laurel.

Survivors include a son, Michael David (Tatyana) Samberg of Anderson; a sister, Brenda (Brent) Jones of Carmel as well as a brother, Eddie (Carolyn) Hahn of Shelbyville; a granddaughter, Zoey Samberg, as well as many nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Gertie Foreman, as well as a sister, Darlene Yaekle.

Family and friends may visit from 12 noon until 1:00 P.M. on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.

Pastor Bob Adams of Bethany Baptist Church will officiate the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2024.  Burial will follow in Laurel North Cemetery Laurel.
