Andrea Lee Arthur

Andrea Lee Arthur, of Brookville, was born on January 25, 1971 in Hamilton Ohio, a daughter to Bill and Bonita Chilton Arthur. In 1989 she was part of the last graduating class from Brookville High School and then furthered her education at Earlham College, earning a Liberal Arts degree with focus on human development and social relations. Andrea began her work career with Mental Health Association of Indiana. She went on to work a case manager, supervisor and most recently as an associate director with IPMG Case Management Company. Andrea married Paul Hurst on October 30, 2010 at the Brookville United Methodist Church, and together they had one daughter. She enjoyed helping others with intellectual and emotional disabilities as well as being out in nature, doing arts and crafts and spending time with her family. On Saturday, January 6, 2024 at the age of 52, she passed away at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Those surviving who will cherish Andrea's memory include her husband, Paul Hurst; one daughter, Evelynn (Evie) Hurst; step-son, Nolan Hurst; mother, Bonita Chilton; father, Bill and step-mother Hwal Ran Arthur; sister, Christine (Brandon) Broshear; brothers, Benjamin Arthur and Joshua Arthur; niece, Crimson Broshear; father and mother-in-law, Keith and Sharon Hurst; brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Amy Hurst; aunts, Maureen Carter, Alice Pennington, Marilynn Chilton, Shauna (Allen) Vonderheide, Geri (Michael) Park, Sandra (Terry) Martin, Linda (James) Jewel, and Mary Arthur, and two uncles, Burvie and Raymond Arthur. She was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher Gene Arthur; maternal grandparents, Dorothy and Charles Chilton, and paternal grandparents, Ruby and Raymond Arthur.
Friends visited with the family on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. The funeral service began at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the ASPCA, as their causes were very dear to Andrea.
