Recovery Community Café

Recovery Community Cafe, a program through Ireland Home Based Services (IHBS), kicked off a virtual eight-week series that helps individuals recovering from substance use connect with a supportive community and build resiliency. Each week, the group discusses an element of recovery, how it shows up for individuals, and what needs to be done to succeed. The series began on Jan. 17, but individuals are still welcome to sign up and participate.

All ages and stages of recovery are welcome, as well as those supporting someone in recovery.

Meeting dates and topics for the series include:

Jan. 31 - Detox, harm reduction and relapse prevention

Feb. 7 - Understanding triggers, cravings, and interrupting thought processes.

Feb. 14 - Motivation for recovery and stages of relapse and recovery

Feb. 21 - Stress management, strengths, and lifestyle management

Feb. 28 - Physical health, mental health, and emotions in recovery

March 7 - Maintenance and long-term recovery

Virtual meetings will be on Zoom and occur Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8 p.m. To register, go to: https://www.facebook.com/IHBSRecoveryCommunityCafe/events or contact Amanda Colvin, Recovery Coach, at [email protected] or 812-583-1480
