January 24, 2024 at 1:48 p.m.

Randall Scott Carson, 71, of Liberty, passed away on January 15, 2024 at his home. Randy was born on September 19, 1952 in Richmond and is the son of the late Glenn and Geneva Howard Carson.

Randy graduated from Short High School in Union County with the class of 1971. He worked in the manufacturing industry for many years, he was employed with Visteon (Ford), and NSK. Randy was a hard worker that spent a majority of his time operating the family farm.

Randy enjoyed watching sports, specifically basketball. He was an animal lover, and had a special place in his heart for dogs. There were many things that Randy enjoyed doing in his spare time; however, spending time with his children and grandchildren took precedence. He especially enjoyed collecting eggs together in the chicken house; and watching them show at the county fair was his favorite part about the fair. He couldn't wait to watch them walk into that ring with the show halter. Randy could strike up a conversation with just about anyone; he was a great storyteller that never missed a chance to talk about his family, He took great pride in them.

He will be greatly missed by his children; son, John (Jennifer) Carson and daughter, Karen (John) Wemple; grandchildren, Kiana, Kyra, Kale, Kambry, Kenna, Kimber, Kalla, Jaya, Jetta, and Kase. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Jared Carson, a daughter, Elizabeth Carson and a brother, Stephen Carson.

Friends and family gathered for Randy's celebration of life on Wednesday January 24, 2024 at Urban Winkler Liberty Funeral Home located at 310 N Main Street in Liberty. A memorial service began at 6:00pm with Jeff Adams officiating. To sign the online guest book, please visit www.urbanwinklerfuneralhome.com

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Union County 4H Association in his memory.
