Chamber of Commerce recognizes community at annual dinner

The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce rolled out the red carpet for their Annual Awards Dinner on Thursday, Jan. 25 at the Hall event center at Batesville Knights of Columbus. The theme for the night was Celebrate a Night Full of Stars. And celebrate they did with over 250 chamber members and guests gathered to honor this year’s outstanding community volunteers.  

This year’s award winners were: 

Organization of the Year - So Loved Kids Clothing Closet - their mission is to help provide children in need with basic necessities; to help visit https://www.solovedcloset.com. 

Educator of the Year-Jill Hollins (St. Louis 4th Grade Teacher)

Distinguished Service Award - George Junker 

Volunteers of the Year-Jim and Maureen Saner 

The Annual Awards Dinner honors individuals and organizations who dedicate their time and energy to making Batesville a better community. The dinner stands as a testament to the impact that volunteers can make on their community. The common theme of each recipient’s acceptance speech was how wonderful they felt in being able to give back to their community and the importance of volunteering. 

The mission of the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce is to implement programs and activities that promote economic growth and development to enhance the quality of life for citizens of the Batesville area. Categories of members are business, education, not-for-profit sectors, individuals, manufacturing, service industries, and government.
