Regina “Jeannie” L. Jobe, 74, of Liberty, passed away on January 2, 2024. Jeannie was born on February 17, 1949 in Richmond, the daughter of the late Muriel R. and Evelyn M. Jackson.
A 1967 graduate of Short High School, on October 23, 1971, Jeannie married Timothy Lee Jobe. They shared 49 years of marriage before Tim's passing on March 10, 2020. Together, they had a lifelong affiliation with the Brownsville United Methodist Church in Brownsville.
Jeannie served with the VFW Auxiliary #1472 in Liberty. She enjoyed spending time there on Saturday evenings visiting with friends. Jeannie also enjoyed nature, mushroom hunting and reading. In earlier years, she loved traveling the U.S. and abroad with her husband. Jeannie loved her nieces and nephews and wished to stay connected to them through lunches out and time together.
Jeannie will be greatly missed by her brother, Stephen (Sally) Jackson; a sister-in-law, Donna (Brian) Cronk; nieces and nephews, Matthew Jackson, Jennifer (Everett) Taylor, Mark (Ashley) Jackson, Carrie Jackson, Ben Cronk, Sam Cronk, Lisa (Randy) Norris and Marlene Thompson; great nieces and nephews, Austin (Kristi) Oglesby, Michael Oglesby, Chase Jackson, Clara Jackson, Anthony “AJ” Jobe, Hannah Jobe, Kristin Jobe, Nicki (Stephen) Wright and Becca Barrett; step-niece-in-law, Susan Jobe; step-great nieces, Betsy (Angelo) Anton and Rebecca “Becky” Osborn; great-great-nephews, Ben Oglesby, Gaven Jobe, Ian Jobe, Evan Harrison and Jase Harrison; great-great-nieces, Willow Oglesby, Katie Barrett, Alexis “Lexi” Van Meter and Josie Jobe; as well as many friends.
Jeannie is preceded in death by her parents, husband; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Janet Jobe; nephew, Michael Jobe; great-niece, Rachel Barrett; and great-great-nephew, Jordan Van Meter.
A graveside service for Jeannie will take place at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, at the Brownsville United Methodist Cemetery with Brownsville UMC Pastor Shelley Dodson presiding.
