Nevada June Mullins, 78, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at her residence in Laurel.

A daughter of Chester Burch and Florence Crawley, Nevada was born June 10, 1946 in Connersville. 

In 1965, Nevada married James E. Mullins. Mr. Mullins passed away on February 10, 2004. 

Nevada was a homemaker and a member of Lakeview Pentecostal Church. Nevada was very active in her church and loved to spread God’s word. She was well loved in her community and led many people to Jesus. In Nevada’s leisure time, she enjoyed reading in her bible and writing scriptures, watching old classic movies, gardening and working in her yard, and spending time with her family. 

Survivors include three children, Daniel Mullins of Laurel, James (Heather) Mullins Jr. of Greensburg, and Sherry (Bob) Blake of Laurel; 15 grandchildren, Kayla, Sarah, Noah, Hannah, Meghann, Tyler, Jacob, Ashley, Jamie, Britany, Kory, Makayla, Robert, Matthew, and Adam; 17 great-grandchildren; 13 siblings; and many nieces and nephews. 

Besides her husband of 38 years, James E. Mullins, Nevada is preceded in death by her parents, Chester Burch and Florence Robinson; her step-mother, Jean Burch; her close sister, Mary Glenn, and four other siblings.

Friends and family visited until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Burial followed at Laurel North Cemetery.
