Gene Geary “Mickey” Priddy, 60, of Rushville, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Major Hospital in Shelbyville.

He was born Dec. 2, 1963 in Glendale, Arizona. A son of the late William H. and Jean Geary Priddy. He obtained a college degree in engineering for roadways, blueprints, water and soil. He retired from the states of Indiana andFlorida.

He is survived by his children, Joshua Priddy and Jessie (Ritchie) Reed. Sisters, Margaret Brogdon, Arnell Chapman, Samantha (Brent) Baker, Marlene Fetty and Nancy Pelling. 

In addition to his parents, Gene is preceded in death by his life-long partner, Rose Love, whom he loved dearly, his siblings, Bridget Banks, Penny Pitts, Sedona Priddy, Penelope Rogers, and niece and nephew, Billie Meadows and Justin Parsons.

Gene “Mickey” loved his family and dear friends. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved nature, woodworking and being with his grandchildren, Maecie and Maverick. He loved sunsets and sunrises, laughing, cooking out with his family and friends, fishing and was a good caring friend to all. He was the best father, grandfather, brother and son.

A Celebration of Life was held Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory, Rushville with Rev. Darryl Cooper providing words of comfort. Friends visited until time of service at 1 p.m. Please light a candle and share your memory with the family at www.ToddFuneralHome.com
