Robert John “Bob” Leising, 85, of Milroy, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

He was born Nov. 23, 1938 in Rushville and graduated from Milroy High School in 1956.  Bob was the owner / manager of Milroy Frigid Lockers from 1960 until his retirement.  He was a lifelong member of St.  Mary’s Catholic Church in Rushville.

Bob was joined in marriage to Nancy Evans Leising on July 30, 1960.  She survives, along with his children Kevin (Lisa), Kathy (Kim) and David (Amy); grandchildren Bill, Ashley, Jordan, Emma, Jacob, Ben and Meg; and great-grandchildren, Kalvin, Layne, Logan, Renn, and Louis.

Bob was a member of the Rural Youth State Championship basketball team in 1958, and Milroy Community Club Citizen of the Year in 2000.  He was an avid supporter of the Purdue Boilermakers and the Cincinnati Reds.  In his later years, Bob was a passionate euchre player, enjoying countless hours playing cards with friends.  

All were invited for recitation of the rosary and visitation Monday, June 10, 2024 at Todd Funeral Centre in Rushville.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Rushville with Rev. Matthew Perronie, Celebrant.

Memorials may be made in Bob’s name to The John and Martha Leising Scholarship in care of the Rush County Community Foundation, 117 N Main St, Rushville, IN 46173.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.  Please light a candle and share your memory with the family at www.ToddFuneralHome.com
