Georgia Mae Harrison, age 80, of Rushville, Indiana and formerly of Brookville, Indiana died Tuesday morning June 18, 2024 at her residence in Rushville.
Born September 1, 1943 in Corbin, Kentucky she was the daughter of the late Robert & Versie (Moore) Smith. She was united in marriage to Claude Grubb on October 9, 1960 and he preceded her in death on February 9, 1988; she married George Harrison on December 25, 2002 and he preceded her in death on August 23, 2014.
Georgia was a homemaker for much of her life until 1988 when she went to work as a home healthcare aide, retiring in 2013.
In her leisure time she enjoyed sewing, flowers, and spending time with her family & grandchildren. She loved gospel music and serving the Lord.
Survivors include three sons, Greg Grubb of Richmond, Indiana, Gerald (Dee Edwards) Grubb of Rushville, Indiana and Leo (Joyce) Grubb of Brookville, Indiana; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents, and husbands, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila Grubb a son, Luke Grubb; four sisters, Ethal Robert, Irene Justice, Christine Hubbard, Pauline Albertson; three brothers, James Smith, Ray Smith, Paul Smith. .
Family & friends may visit from 9:00 until 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
Rev. Rob Edwards will officiate the Funeral Service at 11:00 A.M., Friday, June 21, 2024 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, with burial following in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Mt. Carmel, Indiana.
