For two years, Flat Rock Creamery, named after the Flat Rock River that runs through the Milroy farm, has been providing pasteurized milk to the locals of Rush county and the surrounding areas. They strive to provide the highest quality of milk for their customers, focusing on lower temperatures for longer periods of time during pasteurization to make their milk the richest in flavor and nutrients.

This business had been three years in the making, as the Loggan family was building up to getting all the necessary equipment to produce and pasteurize their milk from the current herd of 18 cattle. But it all paid off when they sold their first gallon of milk on Feb. 1st, 2022.

Every member of their team works an additional full time job, helping with the milking, pasteurizing, and delivery on their off-time. A separate family does the bottling to help relieve the stress on the Loggans.

Because of this already full schedule, there are no concrete plans for major expansion (such as the highly requested ice cream or cheese). Currently, Flat Rock Creamery has their product in 14 retailers, where you can purchase either White, chocolate, Strawberries and Creme, or Vanilla Cappuccino with Maple Syrup milk.
