Whitewater Publications would like to welcome 2024 Oldenburg Academy graduate, Jonah Short, to its staff. Jonah will spend eight weeks here learning about publications, journalism, and advertising.

While interested in journalism, Jonah will be attending Purdue University for business this upcoming August. As he moves forward through college and post-graduation in the next few years, he stated that while journalism would be more of a hobby or side gig, he ultimately plans to use his business degree. While at Whitewater Publications, Jonah aims to use his time homing in his writing skills, learning how to properly conduct interviews, and gain confidence in public settings and speaking up for the story.

Jonah attended St. Michael’s when he was younger before attending Oldenburg. There he played two sports, tennis and soccer. He has a younger brother who will be a junior in high school next year.

Throughout high school, Jonah excelled in his academics by taking advanced classes including literature and physics. He was also an Honor Roll student all four years.

Welcome to the team, Jonah!
