Volunteers needed at Overlook Park
June 21, 2024 at 9:12 a.m.
Volunteers are needed to help spread mulch at the Overlook playground at 9 a.m. on June 24 in Riverside Park.
The mulched area is currently at a four-inch height deficit between the sidewalk and the playground, meaning it is no longer accessible per the Americans with Disabilities Act standards for those using mobility aids like wheelchairs and walkers, said Kathi Jackley, assistant parks director.
A trailer-load of playground mulch has been ordered and is ready to be installed. Volunteers who are interested can contact city interns Grace Jarman and Katie Tabeling ([email protected]) ([email protected]) via email.
