Rebecca J. “Becky” Dake, 65, of Brownsville, passed away Wednesday evening, June 12, 2024 at Reid Health, Richmond.

One of three children of Marion Marsh and Barbara Ann Dennis Taylor, Becky was born in Richmond on February 11, 1959 and graduated from Union County High School with the class of 1978.

On May 21, 1982, Becky married Cecil Dake in Liberty. Mr. Dake survives.

Becky was employed as a transcriptionist at McCollough-Hyde Hospital. In her leisure time, she enjoyed watching television and spending time with her family.

Besides her husband of 42 years, Cecil Dake, survivors include her parents, Marion and Barbara Taylor; two sons, Brandon (Kara) Dake and Justin (Laura) Dake; six grandchildren, Sawyer, Brantley, Saydee, Easton, Remy, and Lacy; two brothers, Brian (Karen) Taylor and Brad (Bette Jo) Taylor; Becky’s best friend, Kim Buttery; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Becky was preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, James and Ruth Ann Dake; a niece, Megan Taylor; and her dog, Biscuit.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Liberty 4-H building located at 411 Patriot Blvd Liberty, Indiana 47353. Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
