Hilda R. Johnson

Hilda Rose Johnson, age 73, of Connersville and formerly of Brookville died Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at her residence following a lengthy illness.

Born December 29, 1950 in Oneida, Kentucky she was the daughter of the late Edward and Fannie (Morgan) Schuler.  On April 15, 1989 she was united in marriage to Terry V. Johnson, and he survives.

In her leisure time she enjoyed sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.  

Besides Terry, her loving husband of over 35 years, survivors include six children, Brian Stamper of Connersville, Vance Johnson of Los Angeles, Craig Stamper of Brookville, Derrick Johnson of Brookville, Chris Stamper of Brookville, and Michelle Goins of Laurel; three sisters, Gayle Bolduc of Abingdon, Virginia, Pat Cooley and Sharon Schuler both of Brookville; a brother, Jimmy Schuler of Connersville; as well as many grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Stamper; brother, Arnold Schuler, granddaughter, Sierra Stamper, and grandson, Garrett Johnson.

Charles Bolduc and David Goins will officiate the private family services.
