Barbara J. Myers, 89 of West College Corner, died Sunday, March 3, at home after a long, hard battle with cancer.  

She was born October 14, 1934, in Nebraska to Henry and Meta Hansen Mesenbrink.  Barbara enjoyed cooking, spending time with family and being a homemaker.  

She is survived by her children, Jeff (Dixie) Myers of West College Corner, Shari (Charlie) Hoog of Liberty and Debra (Greg) Cooper of Louisville; grandchildren, Miranda (Jason) Maddock, Jason (Whitney) Myers, Matt (Julie) Myers, Megan (Josh) Tolley, Tucker Hoog, Trevor (Delanna) Hoog, Tracy (Skyler) Wilson, Sam (Myah) Cooper, Ben Cooper and Elizabeth Cooper; 19 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many friends.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Lowell; parents; brothers, Kenneth Mesenbrink, Robert Mesenbrink, Jim Mesenbrink, Lyle “Chug” Mesenbrink, Donald Mesenbrink and sister, Margaret Mendenhall and great-grandchild Claire Nicole.  

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to AseraCare Hospice Care, 4427 Garwood Place, Richmond, Indiana 47374.

Graveside service for Barbara J. Myers will be Thursday, March 7, 1:00pm in College Corner Cemetery.  Showalter Blackwell Long, Fosdick Chapel, proudly serving the family.
