Plea agreement filed in child molestation case

A plea agreement was filed between the State of Indiana by Phillip Caviness, Rush County Prosecuting Attorney, and Anthony Judge on March 26, 2024, regarding several charges filed against Judge, including:
•Count 1 - Child Molesting-Basic Child Molesting offense (F3)
•Count 2 - Child Molesting-Fondling or touching with a child under 14 (F4)
•Count 3 - Sexual Battery--Victim compelled to submit by force or imminent threat (F4)
•Count 4 - Child Molesting-Fondling or touching with child under 14 (F4
•Count 5 - Child Solicitation-Solicitation is for intercourse. Def 18+ years old and victim under 14 (F6)
•Count 6 - Performing Sexual Conduct in the Presence of a Minor-Touch or fondle oneself in (F6)
As a result of the plea agreement between all parties, the defendant agrees to plead guilty to count 1, child molesting. In light of the defendant’s change of plea, the State agrees to dismiss all other charges and the following sentence:
•Eight years in the Indiana Department of Correction (IDOC), with four years executed and four years suspended to probation.
•Court costs
•48 months formal probation with Sexual Offender Rules
•Pay a $100 administrative probation fee, a $100 initial user fee, and a $25 monthly fee for each month of probation.
As a condition of probation, the defendant shall have no direct or indirect contact with JV1 or JV2, as identified in discovery documents.
The plea agreement hearing will be held on June 6, 2024, at 8:30 a.m. Judicial officer David Northam will preside over the case. The court will review this agreement, which will either be accepted or rejected. If rejected, the agreement will be void.
