Mildred Bryant of Liberty, passed away on May 2, 2024, at her residence at the age of 92. Mildred was born in London, Kentucky on March 9, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Nellie Smith Root.
Mildred was united in marriage to Garlin Bryant on January 27, 1948, in Cincinnati. They were married for 75 years prior to his death in 2023 and were blessed with four children.
Mildred was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Her love and memories will be cherished by her children, Donna (David) Chapman, Linda (Bob) Teeguarden and Barry (Ruth) Bryant; son-in-law, Don Chapman; sister, Mary; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Shelley Chapman; brothers, Houston Root and Ernest Root; sisters, Doris, Claire, Opal, and Thelma and two infant siblings.
Funeral services were conducted at Urban Winkler Liberty Funeral Home on Wednesday May 8, 2024, at 1:00 pm. Friends and family gathered until the hour of the service. Mildred will be laid to rest next to Garlin at Richland Cemetery.
