Rita Arlene Stacy

Rita Arlene Stacy, of Metamora, was born on September 22, 1950 in Hamilton, Ohio, a daughter to Chester and Anna Merle Vohland Hunter.   She married Gary Gordon Stacy on August 4, 1967, and he preceded her in death on February 16, 2013.   She owned and managed Stacy Plumbing and Heating in Greensburg with her husband since 1977.  Rita was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Metamora and enjoyed concerts, Jason Crabb being a favorite.  On Friday, May 3, 2024, at the age of 73, she passed away at Our Hospice in Columbus, Indiana.  

Those surviving who will cherish Rita’s memory include her two sons, Gary “Chris” (fiancée Kim Ginn) Stacy, and Chad (Kathy) Stacy; grandchildren, Logan, Lucas, and Lauren Stacy, Nicole Bowman, Megan Benz, and Tylor Buckles; three great-grandchildren, Grace and Jason Cameron, and Thomas James Buckles; a brother, Mike (Marilyn) Hunter; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Hunter, and many nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Claude Metcalf, a brother, Rick Hunter, two nephews, Jodi Metcalf and Gordon Stanley and a niece, Tawana Fox.  

Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024, at Peppertown Cemetery at 11 a.m. with Paul Frederick officiating.
