Barbara “Barb” Ann Hamilton, 78, of Connersville passed away Friday evening, May 17, 2024 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.

Barb was born August 27, 1945 in Port Townsend, Washington, the daughter of Charles and Lucy Lucas Fox and was a 1963 graduate of Brookville High School.

For 48 years, she was married to Arthur Eugene Hamilton, who passed away on November 29, 2019.

Barb was employed by Stant Manufacturing for 10 years before being employed as a pharmacy technician for Economy Drugstore. Barb dedicated two decades of her life to JC Penney, where she served in customer service before retiring.

Barb was an avid shopper, always on the lookout for the perfect find. She cherished her time outdoors, whether it was gardening or simply enjoying nature. Books were her constant companions, and she loved getting lost in their pages. She found joy in preserving memories through canning and baking delicious dishes she would often share. Most importantly, Barb’s heart belonged to her family and friends, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Survivors include a daughter, Rochelle “Shelley” Wyatt of Plainfield; a stepdaughter, Cathy Hamilton of Harper, Texas; a sister, Phyllis Fox of Connersville; several special nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Barb is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Arthur Hamilton; her parents Charles and Lucy Fox; a brother, Larry Fox; and a stepdaughter, Beverly Jean Shearer.

Friends are asked to gather with family at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home on Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Stan Howard officiating. A burial will follow in Dale Cemetery.
