May 29, 2024 at 12:37 p.m.

Barbara L. Harvey, formerly of Liberty, passed away on Tuesday May 21, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 81. Barbara was born on December 2, 1942, in College Corner, the daughter of the late Donald C. Sayers, and Alice Pearl Widau Sayers.

Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She spent her younger years raising her children, making sure they became responsible leaders in society. In her down time she attended the United Methodist Church in West College Corner. During her retirement, Barbara enjoyed relaxing while tending to her geraniums and petunia flowers. Barbara took great pride in her family and their success; her favorite thing to do was spend time with them, especially her grandchildren and grand-dogs.

Barbara is survived by her children; daughter, Debbie (John Ronyak) Harvey, and son, Barry (Jamie) Harvey. She will be greatly missed by her sister, Judy (Lloyd) Johnson and brother-in-law Ronnie Schneider. Barbara’s memories will be cherished forever by her grandchildren Rachelle (Jamie) Alexander, Justin Harvey, Brad Harvey, Jake Harvey, Tevin Harvey, and Megan Dettone. Her memories will live on in her 19 great-grandchildren plus one on the way, seven great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents. Barbara is preceded in death by the love of her life, Myron Clayton Coleman, and a son, Brian Harvey. She was welcomed to her eternal home by her siblings; brothers, Tom, Bill, Donald, and Larry Sayers, and a sister, Shirley Schneider. Barbara was also reunited with her granddaughter Amanda Harvey.

Per Barbara’s wishes there will be no public services at this time. Urban Winkler Liberty Funeral Home is honored to assist the family during this difficult time.
