William C. Hoess, 86, of Brookville passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024. Bill was born October 4, 1938, in Cincinnati, son to Stanley Hoess and Dorothy Chaney. After serving in the Army, Bill worked as an actor and model in Palm Beach, Florida, eventually settling down in Cincinnati with a successful career at National Cash Register. Bill retired to Brookville and was the proprietor of Cappuccino’s in Metamora and Mocha Joe’s Café in Oxford. In addition, he enjoyed his part time work on the staff at Brookville Lake and as a crossing guard for Franklin County High School. In his free time, Bill enjoyed working on cars, watching Reds baseball, and spending time with his family. Bill was married to his wife, Linda, for over 51 years. He is survived by his daughters: Nikki (Robert) Simon and Jennifer (Blake) Cabanas; grandchildren: Robby Simon, Izzy Cabanas, Ava Cabanas, and August Cabanas; and sisters: Joan Jester and Jeanne Hunt. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 145 St. Michaels Blvd., Brookville, IN 47012.
