Ronald D. Sullivan, 82, of Carthage passed away Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Morristown Manor. He was born May 23, 1942 in Rushville to the late Leonard Carr and Daisy (Moore) Sullivan.
Ron graduated from Carthage High School in 1960 was a lifelong farmer in northwest Rush County. He enjoyed playing Euchre, golfing, rodeos and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. Ron was a longtime member of East Street Christian Church where he served as Deacon and was also a member of the Carthage Lion’s Club.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 62 years, Janet Sullivan; sons, Kent (Chris) Sullivan and Brian (Lisa) Sullivan; grandchildren, Kaycee Sullivan, Chase (Janice) Sullivan, Marissa Sullivan (Remington Johnson); great grandchildren, Olivia and Grant Sullivan and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Dorothy Addison, Jean Craig, Leonard “Bud” Sullivan, Phyllis Northam, Rebecca and Ruby Sullivan.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Bob Guillaume officiating. Burial will follow at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
