Nicholas White

Nicholas Alan White, 74, a lifelong Rush County resident, passed away October 20, 2024. He was born August 15, 1950 in Rush County to Forrest Fredric and Frances Anabel (Han) White. Nick was a 1968 graduate of Milroy High School and obtained his associate’s degree from Vincennes University.
Nick worked as an aircraft mechanic in Seymour but his true passion was his love of farming his ground in Rush County which he did for 40 years.
Nick was a member of the Milroy Christian Church where he served as deacon and elder. He served on the Anderson Twp. Volunteer Fire Department for 30 years and was past chief and EMT. He was on the MEDC in Rush County. Nick loved his 1968 Camaro, drag racing and target shooting.
He will be missed by many good friends and a community that he enjoyed serving and calling his own. He enjoyed road trips with the Hoban family! Nick was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Becky Walker.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 28, 2024 in the Milroy Christian Church with Ron Simbro presiding. Friends are welcome to visit from 3-6 p.m. on Sunday, October 27 in the church. Burial will be in the Eastbrook Cemetery in Milroy.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Anderson Twp. Volunteer Fire Department or the Milroy Christian Church.
