Sylvia (Younts) Allgood, 79, Matthews, passed away warm and fuzzy, surrounded by her family at home on October 17, 2024.
She was born on November 4, 1944 to Everett William Younts and Virginia May Stewart Younts at Margaret-Mary Hospital in Batesville.
She enjoyed Bingo, going to the casino, doing puzzles, mushroom hunting, flea markets, and going to grandkids’ and great-grandkids’ activities and sporting events. She loved spending time with her family. She had a one-of-a-kind personality, being both sweet and sassy. She retired from Lafollette dining at Ball State University after 25 years of service.
She is survived by three daughters, Ginny Moore, Connersville, Peggy (Mike) Brown, Fairmount, and Pam (Paul) Soultz, Jonesboro. She was loved by eight grandchildren, Christy (Danny) Kindler, Aaron Moore, Ashley (Shawn) Moore, Billy Allgood, Amber (Nate) Pearson, Aamie Allgood-Davis, Shelby Soultz, and Bailey (Austin) Soultz. 21 great-grandchildren were honored to be loved by her - Logan, Gavin, Allen, Billy, Deante, Emma, Garrett, Ava, Alexis, Landin, Alex, Makilah, Kelsey, Aadin, Van, Eli, Teegan, Gracie, Cade, Frankie, and Ari, and a great-great-grandson, Xavier. She also has one nephew, Chad Younts and family, and one niece, Amanda Younts and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank Allgood, brother Paul Younts, and great-grandson Andrew (Drew) Nathan Pearson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones-Smith Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 259 North Main Street, Upland, Indiana 46989. The family will be holding private services. Online memories and condolences may be shared at www.armeshuntfuneralhome.com.
