Maureen Carol (Chilton) Carter, age 77, of Connersville died Saturday, October 26, 2024 at the Willows of Richmond, following a brief illness.
Born February 18, 1947 in Batesville she was the daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy (Martin) Chilton.
She had worked for over 45 years as a healthcare provider. In her leisure time she enjoyed sewing, making quilts for her family; cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren and sisters.
Survivors include four children, Rhonda Seibert of Clearwater, Florida; Jewell Holland of Charlestown, Indiana, Jason Carter of Connersville and Kia Fox of Richmond; 15 grandchildren, Devon Welter, Dustin Welter, Sky Fairchild, Makenzi Caudill, Carson Caudill, Xavier Caudill, Matthew DeLucio, Isabella DeLucio, Anthony Carter, Whitney Campbell, Dylan Carter, Nick Seibert, Elijah Seibert, Cody Seibert, and Tanna Thomas; 18 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Bonita Chilton of Brookville, Alice Pennington of Metamora, Marilynn Chilton of Indianapolis and Shauna Vonderheide of Brookville; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Mark Chilton; and her grandmother Pearl Eversole.
Family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2024 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, November 1, 2024 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.
