Edith Katheryn Reed, 90 of Sebring, Fla. passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at her home in Florida. Edith was born October 13, 1933 in Milroy to the late William and Martha Gladys (Dunn) Chandler.

Edith lived her early life in Milroy and later in Indianapolis. Edith married Kelley Reed June 12, 1972 and he preceded her in death October 5, 1997. She worked in food service for Indianapolis Public Schools. Edith was a longtime member of the Moose Lodge in Indianapolis. She loved flowers, enjoyed sewing and upholstery repair. 

Edith is survived by a daughter, Connie (Steward) England of Florida, brother, Clarence “Bud” (Linda) Chandler of Lawrence, longtime companion and caregiver, Ron Potter of Florida, several grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Edith was preceded in death by four brothers, Joseph, Bill and Jerry Chandler and Hubert Gerrian, two sisters, Patricia Matney and Bonnie Chandler and her daughter, Martha Joy Myers.

Services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2024 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville. Pastor Jeff Edwards presided. Friends visited the family until the time of service the same day at the mortuary.  Burial was in East Brook Cemetery.

Arrangements entrusted to Moster Mortary.
