Larry Noah

Larry Noah, 76 of Clarksburg, passed away at home in his sleep February 7, 2025. He was born March 19, 1948 in Greensburg, to the late Earl and Elva (Throckmorton) Noah. Larry married Nancy Newkirk on May 31, 1966 and she preceded him in death on July 21, 1994. He married Joyce Wheeler Johnson Noah in 1994 and she survives. Larry worked at D&M for over 27 years and 12 years at GCOM, retiring in 2006. He was a member of Buena Vista Christian Church. Larry enjoyed golfing, fishing and aggravating people. 

In addition to his wife, Joyce, he is survived by his son, Robert “Bob” Noah of Connersville and daughter, Lisa Vanderpohl of Adams; step-son, David (Jackie) Johnson and step-daughter, Cynthia (Randall) Wiley; brother: Donnie (Sharon) Noah; sisters: Julia Kays, Faye (Bill) Greene; many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. 

Larry is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Newkirk; step-daughter, Frances Horning and step-son, Doug Setters; brothers, Carter Noah, Russell “Buck” Noah, Albert Noah, Clarence Noah, Jim Noah, John Noah, Doug Noah, Everett Noah; sisters, Jessie Adams, Retha Kelley, and Maxine Grubbs.

Services were held Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Buena Vista Christian Church with Pastor John Johnson presiding. Friends visited the family until the time of service at the church. Burial was held at Stipps Hill Cemetery.
