Lendon Sizemore, age 92, of Metamora, died Friday, February 7, 2025 at the home of his son in Metamora.

Born November 18, 1932 in Clay County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Willy and Drewy (Banks) Sizemore.  On July 3, 1952 he and the former Ruth K. Smith were united in marriage, and they enjoyed 72 years together until her passing on May 8, 2024.

He had been employed in construction and logging for much of his life.  In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing and gardening.  He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Brookville.

Survivors include three children, Bill (Catie) Sizemore of Metamora; Nancy (the late, Thomas) Benevengo and Scott (Jacqueline) Sizemore all of Brookville; two grandsons, Justin (Whitney) Sizemore and Lendon Thomas Sizemore; a sister, Betty McQueen of Osgood.

Family and friends visited on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.

The service began at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, with burial immediately following in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Brookville.
