Barbara J. Evans
February 19, 2025 at 12:01 p.m.

Barbara J. Evans, 80, of Liberty went home to her Lord early Saturday morning, February 15, 2025.
Born to Luther Delbert and Mary E. Jackson Logan in Barbersville, Kentucky, Barb was the last of the Silent Generation, born at the tail end of World War II on March 11, 1944. She faced more than her share of adversity, but she did what they all dreamed of doing: leaving a better life for her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. She was fiercely sassy, unapologetically herself, and never lost her love for glamour. She loved puzzles, hot pink anything, roses, maximalism, and Mexican food. In addition, she enjoyed dancing, watching the Cincinnati Reds, having lunch with friends, and spending as much time with her family as possible. Though they will miss her greatly, Barb’s family knows they will see her again on the other side.
Barb is survived by her son: William J. Evans; daughters: Mary Ann and her husband Randy Paxton, Vicky E. Hobbs; sister: Patricia Ann Wicker; grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Patrick Doyle, Anna and Andrew Strait, Alaina and Eric Hawley, Alisha and Stephen Weaver; great-grandchildren: Jagger, Felicity, Dean, Ruth, Oliver; several nieces and nephews; many friends.
In addition to her parents and grandparents, Barb is preceded in death by her brother: Otto E. Logan.
In accordance with Barb’s wishes, a private family celebration will be conducted at the convenience of her family. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in Barb’s honor. Showalter Blackwell Long, Fosdick Chapel, Liberty has been entrusted with arrangements.
