Gordon Nelson Day

Gordon Nelson Day, age 62, of Metamora, passed peacefully Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at his residence in Metamora.

Gordon served in the US Army for 21 years.  His favorite pasttimes were spending time with his grandchildren, Circle D Rangers Train, target shooting, and playing his guitar.

Survivors include Audry, his loving wife of 16 years; three daughters, Maranda (Brian) Wardia of Florence, Kentucky, Ashlee (Doug) Boyd of Brookville and Samantha (Farmer) Johnson of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; eight grandchildren; his mother, Gay Day of Laurel; his siblings Joe (Nikki) Day of Laurel, Angel (Dave) Holmes of Brookville and Theresa (Scott) Calihan of Brookville, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends gathered on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.

Dave Bowser officiated the memorial service at 12:00 noon, Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home in Brookville.  Burial followed at Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville where military graveside honors were conducted by the Bernard Hurst Post #77 of the American Legion.
