Rebekah Meyer

Rebekah Meyer, of Brookville, was born on August 14, 1954 in Louisville, a daughter to Hugh and Lillie Wren White.  She graduated from Valley High School and later earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education. Becky married David Meyer on April 24, 1976 in Louisville and he preceded her in death on December 9, 2013.  She taught fourth grade at Mt. Carmel School, retiring after 36 years of service.  Becky was a member of Delta Theta Tau, Think Smart, and the Whitewater Valley Retired Teachers Association. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and traveling. On Sunday, December 22, 2024 at the age of 70, she passed away at Bethesda North Hospital.

Those surviving who will cherish Becky’s memory include her children, Justin (Mandy) Meyer, Neal (Alaina) Meyer, and Katherine (Casey) Almon; seven grandchildren, Ally, Macy, Opal, Emmy Brooke, Elizabeth, Jasper, and Pearl. One brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Alaine White also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Friends visited with the family on Friday, December 27, 2024 until the time of service at 12 noon at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. Burial will followed Maple Grove Cemetery.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to the Whitewater Valley Retired Teachers Association. Checks can be made out to WVRTA.
