Normon Gray

Normon Gray, 77, of Cambridge City went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at Reid Health, Richmond.
One of four children of Homer and Thelma Marcum Gray, Normon was born on December 4, 1947 in McKee, Kentucky and moved to the Connersville area for residence as a young adult.
An auto mechanic for 48 years, Normon took great pride in his profession helping many people with their auto needs. He was employed with Charlie Richardson Auto Service in Liberty for over 31 years followed by Mathews Auto Center in Liberty for 17 years.
On April 17, 1987, Normon was married to Mary Lou Lainhart in Liberty. Mrs. Gray survives.
Normon was a member of PTC Ministries. In his leisure time, he enjoyed restoring antique cars at his home. He was also an avid shopper who took great pride in finding bargains. Normon was always on the lookout for the best prices and unique finds. His enthusiasm for shopping was well-known among his friends and family, who admired his ability to discover hidden gems and save money. Normon’s passion for bargain hunting was not just a hobby but a testament to his resourcefulness and acute sense of value.
Besides his wife of 37 years, Mary Lou Gray, survivors include seven children, Shon (Brittany) Gray of Booneville, Kentucky, Mike Spivey, Tina (Kenny) Garrison, all of Connersville, Melinda Spivey of Pershing, Jerry (Monique) Bradley of Richmond, Mike (Shannon) Turner, and Sarah (John) Burns, all of Hagerstown; 23 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Normon is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Bobby Gene Gray; three brothers, Zethel Gray, Dennis Gray, and Dallas Gray.
Family and friends visited until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2024 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Pastor Ron Russell officiated. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Elkhorn Cemetery.
