Rush County & 20 Years of Summer Concerts
January 27, 2025 at 11:16 a.m.

This summer, Rushville will be hosting its 20th annual Summer Concert series. Every year, local and regional bands will come out to perform their own music, tributes, covers, and more for a music-filled summer and constant entertainment.
The lineup for 2025 has already been decided and there is no doubt that this will be an exciting year.
These concerts have been a great way for the community of Rushville and everyone in between to come out, have fun, listen to great music, enjoy vendors, and experience a concert setting that is always family friendly.
Mayor Mike Pavey of Rushville states that the concert series is a beloved and time-honored tradition. He further states that the series is always looked forward to by concert goers near and far, and the turnout is always enormous.
The concert series may have started as a simple idea, but it has now blown up and gained widespread recognition for the time, effort, planning, and music involved. Everyone who comes out has the opportunity to enjoy what is considered one of the best summer festivals in the region.
Vendors will be spread out for purchases, food, and more during the concerts. Many have come out every year, many have come out for the first time in the past years, and this year won’t be any different. Dinner, snacks, treats, clothing, merchandise, home uses, and more will be ready and waiting for concert goers to have some shopping fun while they rock out to their favorite bands or want to have some idle time in between sets.
A full list of the 2025 concert lineup and vendors can be found on the website.
For the past 20 years, these concerts have been the highlight of Rushville. The entire community always looks forward to the series. The concerts have gained a lot of attention over the years. As always, the concerts are held at the Riverside Park Amphitheater. The amphitheater is an outdoor music venue located at 100 West Water Street in Rushville, Ind. The venue is a great concert destination annually hosting live music events and creating a great family-friendly environment with all performances taking place on Saturday evenings.
Guests and participants are always encouraged to bring any drinks, blankets or chairs for their comfort. Drinks are available for purchase throughout the area, and as always, a beer garden is available for guests over the age of 21.
The amphitheater has been home to several great performances over the past 20 years, even outside the summer concert series. It’s huge, spacious, has plenty of parking, can house multiple vendors, offers excellent viewing areas, and is considered one of Rushville’s best community spaces.
The public has spoken, and the results are unanimous!
“We have been coming out for the past eight years, except for when Covid was out. We have a great time.”
“It’s definitely one of those best kept secrets - everyone should know about them.”
“Even though it’s multiple concerts, attendance is free. Having something this fun and exciting is why I think it’s such a big deal.”
“All of my kids have fun here. They love listening to music and dancing around. Definitely family friendly.”
These are just a few of the responses given by the public when asked their thoughts on the concert series over the past 20 years. This tradition is hoped to continue as the years move forward and Rushville encourages everyone to come out and enjoy themselves.
