Phyllis Paddock

Liberty resident, Phyllis Paddock, 89, died Friday, March 14, 2025, at Ambassador Healthcare, in Centerville.
Phyllis was born on Christmas Day in 1935, to Clenton and Mary Fogus Abernaty. She attended Liberty area schools and was a graduate of Short High School with the class of 1953. Phyllis enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She had an immeasurable amount of love for her family and was dedicated to her children and grandchildren. Whether it was making Halloween costumes for her grandchildren, or speaking to her sons daily, Phyllis’s family knew they were her main priority. She was an exceptional baker and an outstanding seamstress. Phyllis will be remembered for her kind heart and her willingness to help everyone.
Phyllis is survived by her sons: Wayne Paddock, Everett and Lynda Paddock; grandchildren: Jessie Paddock, Kelye Conrad, Jennifer Paddock, Josh Paddock, Stephanie Paddock, Isaiah Spencer, Luke Paddock, Jacob Baker, and Ashley Baker; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends too numerous to mention.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis is preceded in death by her daughter Yvonne Marie Paddock Baker.
Following Phyllis’ wishes, a private family celebration will be conducted at the convenience of her family. Showalter Blackwell Long, Fosdick Chapel, Liberty has been entrusted with arrangements.
