Terry A. Stephen

March 26, 2025 at 1:14 p.m.

Terry A. Stephen, 82, of Fairhaven, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, March 13, 2025.  She was born March 5, 1943, in Hamilton, to the late Roy and Ruby L. (Deason) Keaton.  In addition to her parents, Terry was preceded in death by her sisters, Ruby Tucker, Phyllis Ingram, and Barbara Moreland; and her husband’s parents, Kenny and Freda Stephen.  She is survived by her high-school sweetheart and husband, Jim Stephen; son, Marty (Maggie) Stephen; daughter, Amy (Steve) Corrington; 5 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Carolyn (Sam) Cash; and many other family and friends.  Terry enjoyed working at Baxter Laboratory’s on the Assembly Line in Eaton, Ohio and Huston Manufacturing in Richmond, where she stuffed heart-shaped pillows for those who had open heart surgery.  Terry’s kind heart and gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She had a passion for nurturing beauty, whether it was in her garden, where she lovingly grew petunias, marigolds, and Christmas cacti, or in the warmth of her home, where she filled her family’s lives with love and laughter.  A talented crocheter, Terry’s hands were rarely still, crocheting Afghan blankets that wrapped her loved ones in comfort. She found joy in the quiet moments—piecing together jigsaw puzzles and baking the most delicious cookies in all of Union County, a sweet treat that will be forever missed.  Though she adored her beloved cats, Baxter and Mickey, it was her children and grandchildren who brought her the greatest happiness. Every moment spent with them was a treasure, filled with laughter, love, and the kind of warmth that only Terry could provide.  At Terry’s request there will be no services.  BalesFH.com.
