Thirty-seven years ago, high school seniors from throughout Indiana were the first to be named Indiana Academic All-Stars. This year the program received 276 outstanding nominees from the state’s private and public accredited schools.
It’s National Library Week, and here in Union County we have a lot of reasons to celebrate. The Union County Public Library has been lending books to citizens since the first 100 books were donated by a local woman in 1888.

Two positions within the Franklin County Health Department now need filled following the recent tendering of resignations from Paxtyn Drew (nurse) and Lisa Meier (secretary/registrar). Each is accepting positions elsewhere, with Meier moving to another governmental department.
