CARMEL - Jack Stirn’s amazing tennis career at Franklin County is now over after falling one match short of the championship and finishing the season with a record of 24-1. Stirn will go into the record books as the first Franklin County singles player to make the state finals.
LAWRENCEBURG – For the second time in as many seasons, the powerful Lawrenceburg Tigers showed the Franklin County Wildcats (6-4) the door in the IHSAA football state tournament.

Union County put down Eastern Hancock in three sets last week to open the IHSAA Class 2A volleyball sectional at Union County and followed up with a 3-0 win over Centerville.
BATESVILLE – All teams had a fresh start when the 2021 IHSAA state volleyball tournament began last week. Unfortunately for the Franklin County Lady Wildcats, however, the flame was extinguished quickly by the heavily favored Greensburg Lady Pirates.
No matter the results from this upcoming weekend, Franklin County senior Jack Stirn can rest assured his Wildcat tennis career has been one for the history books.
Union County girls soccer team defeated Knightstown, 3-1, last week to advance to the championship game of the IHSAA Girls Soccer Sectional at Knightstown.
Undefeated senior Jack Stirn was able to keep his season alive in tennis, despite his team suffering a 4-1 defeat to Rushville in the Connersville sectional finals Oct. 2.
