In the first several days of filings for the Franklin County Community School Corporation Board of Trustees' three at-large seats to be filled this November, one current member and one aspiring member have officially thrown their hats into the ring.

Terry Bryant, first elected in 2018, has filed his paperwork to hang onto his seat for another four-year term. The other filing as of Tuesday, Aug. 2 was Adrienne Greene, Brookville High School graduate and pastor at both Mt. Carmel Church and Rockdale Church.

According to her website adriennewgreene.com, Greene is a syndicated newspaper columnist whose weekly column “Ask Pastor Adrienne” has been distributed in publications around the world – including formerly in the Brookville American/Democrat. She lists herself as an author, evangelist, conference speaker and blogger with prior experience in higher education and non-profit ministry. Greene has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and a master's in organizational leadership.

The remaining at-large seats are currently held by Sharon Wesolowski, board vice-president, and Beth Foster, board secretary.

The deadline to file for the fall election is Aug. 26.
