Leea Persinger awarded scholarship

Local student Leea Persinger was awarded a $500 college scholarship at Union County Commissioners’ Aug. 5 meeting.
Association of Indiana Counties and Indianapolis-based tax sale facilitator SRI, Inc. award $500 scholarships to Indiana students with ties to county government. Persinger, daughter of Union County clerk Lori Persinger, is a 2022 Union County High School graduate and soon-to-be Purdue University freshman. Once on campus in mid-August, Persinger will study animal science and Spanish.
