Once judges Tana Stang and Shelby Kolb reached their decision, emcee Ashley Beckett made the announcement... 

“The 2022 miss personality is Ellie Murray,” she began.  “And now, the 2022 little Union County is Taryn Harvey.”

Six-year-old Taryn Harvey was selected little Union County at Union County High School from a field of six  contestants. 

The daughter of Travis and Ashley Harvey. Taryn’s Mini 4-H projects include crafts, sheep and swine. “I love everything about the fair,” she said. Taryn also enjoys dance, softball, basketball, Play in the Park and National Junior Swine Association as well as riding her bike, playing with her cousins and spending time with her pigs.   

Little miss Union County, Ellie Murray. Her mini 4-H projects are dairy and goats. Ellie’s favorite thing about the fair is showing her cows. She also enjoys dance, caring for her cows and watching movies. She is the daughter of Ashlyn and Joshua and Joey Murray.

In addition to tonight’s  public program, little miss Union County candidates  sat down with the judges for short interviews.

Lillian Pentecost 2021 Union County 4-H Fair queen came forward with banners, bouquets and tiaras to assist 2021 little Union County Kambry Carson and miss personality Addison Flack crown the newly named miss personality and little Union County representatives.

Both Harvey and Murrary will be busy,  busy during the next two weeks assisting Union County 4-H Fair queen Rachel Ingram and her court in passing out ribbons and awards during pre-fair week (July 11-15) and fair week (July 17-22).

Other contestants in the Little Union County Pageant include: Elly Burroughs, Emily Frazier, Sophey Hertel and Brooklyn Rosenberger.
