Open sheep show
June 22, 2022 at 8:20 p.m.
The Union County 4-H Fairgrounds was filled to capacity last week and the UC County Fair is still three weeks away!
Trucks and trailers were parked everywhere and showmen and their families were busy preparing 107 lambs and 39 goats to enter the 2022 Union County Open Sheep and Goat Show.
Organized by Dexter Schlichter and his family, the show provided a perfect opportunity for 4-H members to gain some experience before they compete at fair time.
Judge Erik Larson kept the show going by giving equal time to each animal and class and without delays. Larson is pictured judging the lamb exhibitors.
Dexter Schlichter and his family are to be congratulated on a show well done.
