Gary Gene Lee, age 65, of Harrison, Ohio and formerly of Brookville died Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati.
Born December 25, 1957 in Greensburg he was one of four children born to Morton L. 'Dodo' & Norma (Lovins) Lee. He was a graduate of the former Brookville High School, in Brookville. On September 3, 1981 he was united in marriage to the former Paulinda Howard, and she survives.
Gary was retired, having worked for many years driving a concrete truck and also as a mechanic. In his leisure time he enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, playing cards and playing board games with his family.
Besides Paulinda, his loving wife of nearly 42 years, survivors include his mother, Norma Thompson of Laurel; two sons, Bo (Jennifer) Barger of Harrison, Ohio, Justin (Amanda) Barger of Lawrenceburg; four grandchildren, Megan Barger, Matthew Barger, Kayla Barger, Gary Barger; as well as a sister, Vickie Ratliff of Laurel.
He was preceded in death by his father, Morton L. 'Dodo' Lee, two brothers, Robert E. Lee and David M. Lee; a brother-in-law, Jerry Ratliff; as well as a niece Angie Lee.
Family and friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
Rod Fightmaster will officiate the funeral services on Thursday, August 10, 2023, 4:00 p.m. at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home in Brookville.
