Edra A. Witter, age 95, passed away on December 30, 2024 in Oxford, Ohio. Edra was born in College Corner, Ohio on January 29, 1929, the daughter of Claude and Gertrude Johnston McQuiston.
Edra graduated from College Corner High School with the class of 1947. She was united in marriage on May 1, 1949 to Robert R. Witter. They shared 69 years of marriage prior to his death on November 12, 2018.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother that also worked for the College Corner Water Association for several years and was the secretary for the College Corner Cemetery Association for 32 years. She enjoyed putting puzzles together, bird watching and spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the Eastern Star for over 25 years.
Her love and memories will be cherished by her daughter, Diane (Mike) Matix; son, Jan Witter; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Chrystal) Matix and Beth (Robb) Kingsley; great grandchildren, Katie, Emily, Ryan, and Jack; nephews, Brad McQuiston and Kent McQuiston and a niece, Karen Wiseman.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brother, Dean McQuiston.
