James Arthur Peters

James Arthur Peters, 65, passed away unexpectedly at his son’s home in Globe, Arizona, on December 29, 2024.
He was born to Arthur and Edith Peters on October 24, 1956.
He was raised with his beloved eight siblings; Victoria (Perry) Wilson of Brookville, Randall (Sandy) Peters of Claremore, Okla., Elizabeth (Peters) Lewis of Rushville, Joseph (Lynn) Peters of Laurel, Jonathon Peters of Laurel, Jillian (Jason) Isaac of Connersville, and Rebecca (Charlie) Little of Brookville, on the family farm on Kokomo Hill Road, Laurel.
Jamey was his own spirited cowboy while growing up on the farm working and playing. He enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with family.
He attended and graduated from Laurel High School in 1978 where he met his wife Roxanne Gay of 46 years and they were blessed with three children; Josh, Erica, Jamie Lee. He and his family resided in Arizona for 40+ years.
Jamey continued his adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors while being employed at the Bureau of Land Management in Phoenix. He retired after serving 38 years and providing for his family.
Jamey is preceded in death by his daughter Jamie Lee, mother Edith, father Arthur, and brother Mark.
He will be missed deeply by his family, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, siblings and friends.
